Robert Oatley
The Oatley’s are one of Australia’s prominent wine families; a family winemaking dynasty that began in 1969 when the late Robert Oatley founded Rosemount Winery.  Robert Oatley made his mark nationally and internationally and put Australian wine on the world map. The winery has vineyards in Margaret River, McLaren Vale and Yarra Valley.

The Oatley family history in Australia goes back to almost the beginning of the European settlement there. There is even a suburb in Sydney called Oatley.  The Oatley family is also very involved in yachting and even owns an island; Hamilton Island. Sandy Oatley has taken over the reins and just like his dad, is fully committed to the success of quality Australian wine.
