The story of the Jacuzzi family in America started in 1907 when Valeriano and Francesco Jacuzzi, immigrated to Washington State to work on the railroad before heading south to Northern California.  During the depression Valeriano planted a portion of the open farm fields with grapes and in 1936 he applied for a license to make wine for home consumption. At that time he was limited to 200 gallons (84 cases).  The vineyard was planted to Zinfandel, Carignane and Mourvedre.  In 1937 Valeriano returned to the Jacuzzi Brothers factory in Berkeley, CA where they manufactured water well pumps and eventually the bath and spa that bears their name.  Valeriano’s grandson Fred Cline, founded Cline Cellars in 1982, originally near Oakley, California before re-locating the winery to the Carneros region of Sonoma.  In 1994, the first Jacuzzi Family Vineyards wine was produced.  In 2007, Cline Built a state of the art wine facility across the street from Cline Cellars which is now home to the Jacuzzi Winery.
