Layer Cake
The Mark Wine TVLayer Cake is made by Jayson Woodbridge and his winemaking team from Napa Valley Cult Cabernet Hundred Acre and has been called "the ultimate in affordable luxury" by Anthony Giglio of Food and Wine Magazine.

A unique wine brand with multiple country AVA's, Layer Cake is handmade in some of Jayson Woodbridge's favorite wine regions around the world.  Each Layer Cake wine is crafted implementing the same small winery techniques and quality standards for which Jayon is well known.  Jayson and his winemaking team work with small family growers rigorously selecting only the very best fruit to produce a Shiraz from Australia's Barossa Valley, a Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina, and an old vine Primitivo, aka Zinfandel, from Puglia, Italy.

Jayson Woodbridge's quest for Layer Cake is simply to craft wines that are stunningly good, yet very affordable; exquisite wines that can be enjoyed everyday.  Since its inception, Layer Cake has enjoyed an incredibly positive reception from wine lovers and the wine press alike because it has accomplished just that - Luxury everyone can afford.

Layer Cake produces a Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a Chardonnay using 100% California fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon was made from select vineyard sites in California combining richness and big fruit flavors with classic structure and tannic power. Their Chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel at low temperatures to preserve the intense, complex aromatics, and then certain lots are aged in 3-year air-dried French oak to accentuate and balance the concentrated fruit, adding another layer of complexity with the subtle, high-quality oak.
