Carpe Diem

Masterful wines made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, by two world renowned winemakers.

Carpe Diem Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are based on a Burgundian winemaking style that emphasizes the unique flavor quality found in Fire Peak Vineyard’s fruit (located in Edna Valley, near San Luis Obispo, California). With frequent fog and a mild climate, the region has one of the longest growing seasons in California.

Winemaker Christian Roguenant believes that Firepeak Vineyard is the “jewel” of the Edna Valley with its optimal location just 4 miles from the cool Pacific Ocean. “This vineyard allows me to achieve my goal: to make the wine as true to the varietal as possible” states Roguenant. He confirms “Give me rough but nice diamonds and my job is to polish without scratching them.”

Carpe Diem Cabernet Sauvignon is vinified under the strict supervision of Christian Moueix’s winemaking team in Yountville, California.  Carpe Diem Cabernet is made in a classic winemaking style and embodies the essence of Napa Valley classic Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2005 vintage marked its first release.
