Lockwood Vineyards
Lockwood Vineyard built its reputation as remarkable vineyard nestled at the base of the Santa Lucia mountain range with flavors a million years in the making. 1,850 contiguous acres wind through both warm and cool climate regions with a distinctive soil that gives meaning to the term terroir. Consisting of crushed fossilized seashells, the vineyard's soil is only found in only one other area in California. Located in the heart of Monterey, Lockwood Vineyard's diverse micro-climates allow multiple varietals, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon to thrive.
In late 2011, Lockwood Vineyards was purchased by Boisset Family Estates, who has developed a reputation for developing some of the most reputable brands in California. The new tagline will be "a million years in the making" referring to the unique soil that, in part, makes Lockwood Vineyards a stand out.
