Charles Smith opened his first winery, K Vintners, in December of 2001. His most recent collection of wines are emulated after the classic grape varietals of Italy starting with Barbera in Italy’s northern winegrowing region of Piedmont.  The Sangiovese grape from central Tuscany and finally the Primitivo grape from Italy’s southern winegrowing region of Puglia, best known as the heel of the boot.

And while the wines all have Italian heritage, the grapes are all grown in Washington state from single vineyard selections, Cervo, Cinghiale, Porcospino. Made for you by the Famiglia Smith: Charles, Ginevra and daughter Charlotte.
